Paris Youth Foundation headline SWG3’s Poetry Club

Liverpool’s Paris Youth Foundation have been described by NME as “all your favourite indie bands rolled into one.” and they’re not half wrong.

They’ve just released latest single ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ before taking off on their debut headline tour, and I interuppted some very important skating time to have a chat with the band.

SWG3 is like a never ending maze of venues and the Paris Youth Foundation gig was my first venture into the Poetry Club (I think its downstairs and to the left but who actually knows – once you get inside, your sense of direction disappears). An intimate venue with a balcony – that I didnt notice existed until about halfway through the set – was the perfect setting for the band to introduce their live set to the fans that had packed the place out.

They played through their set with an air of professionalism that would make you seriously question the fact it was their debut headline tour. Tracks that you’ll be able to find online; such as ‘London,’ ‘You Haven’t Loved Until You’ve Lost,’ ‘I Can’t Keep Up With Your Love,’ and of course, the new single all went down a treat with everyone in the room. Everyone bounced, tapped, nodded and sung along to the whole set.

Paris Youth Foundation really could be your next new favourite band – and their catchy earworm melodies and lyrics will be playing round in a loop in your head for a while.
